Who runs the app

The Two of Us and this website are run by Dalibor Novák as a private individual, in his own time and outside his job. There is no company behind it. You can write to me at font@email.cz.

What the app is for

The Two of Us is a question-card app that helps parents and kids talk to each other. The questions are written for kids roughly six to nine years old. You read a question and talk about it together. That's all the app does.

It's free

The app is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases. There is no account and nothing to pay. That doesn't mean I'm obliged to keep it running forever. I may stop developing or offering it at any time.

How you may use it

You may use the app at home, at school or in a counselling room, on your own or with children, as often as you like. What you may not do: pass the content off as your own, sell it, use it in bulk to create your own cards, books or other products, or reverse-engineer the app and distribute copies of it. The questions, texts, graphics and the name are my own work.

It is not a substitute for professional help

This one matters. The app is a helper for talking together. It is not therapy, diagnosis or counselling, and it does not replace psychological, therapeutic or medical care. If you are seriously worried about your child, please turn to professionals. Crisis lines and other help are listed inside the app.

Some questions touch on sensitive subjects such as fear, loneliness or someone getting hurt. You as the parent know best what your child can handle. Choosing the topic and the depth is always up to you, and you can stop the conversation at any time.

What I am not liable for

The app is provided as is, free of charge, with no warranty that it will always work without errors or that it will be of any particular use to you. I am not liable for how the conversations turn out at home, or for damage arising from using the app, except where the law does not allow such liability to be excluded. If you hit a bug, write to me and I'll try to fix it.

App Store

If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's standard licensed application end user licence terms also apply. Apple is not a party to these terms, does not provide the app and is not responsible for it. Any questions or complaints go to me, not to Apple.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms over time, for example when the app changes. A new version applies from the day I publish it on this page. The date of the last change is at the bottom.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Czech law and any disputes fall to the Czech courts. If you are a consumer, you keep the rights the law gives you, which these terms cannot limit.
